Welcome!

Hello, and thank you for visiting our Oliver Family website.

My name is Shane Bywaters and during the last 6 or 7 years I have been researching my family history, at the centre if which is the Oliver family who have a long history in the Oxfordshire village of Stonesfield.

My own grandmother was an Oliver born in Stonesfield in 1928 and I really knew nothing about the Oliver family prior to starting this journey of discovery.

Throughout this website there is a huge amount of Oliver Family History, from wonderful photographs to amazing stories from people lives, we have come to learn and enjoy so much of our family history.

It's important to add that whilst I maintain this website, much of the content has been generously shared by the many cousins I have met through the research, indeed one of best aspects of all the research has been the 3 Oliver Family History Days held in Stonesfield in 2010, 2011 and 2014, where Oliver cousins came togther from across the world to celebrate our Oliver heritage.

In between the Oliver Family History Days we have a fairly active messageboard here on website which is also home to a vast amount of information, and everyone is welcome to join in the conversation.

So, once again welcome, and I hope you enjoy browsing our website.

Shane
